Working With Schools
Under the “Every Child Matters” agenda it is very important that schools offer full range of opportunities to explore vocational training as an option in years 10 and 11 and indeed in some cases years 12 and 13.
The Key to the success of vocational training and delivery is working in partnership with existing local private or voluntary sector providers. CTS are on such provider already extremely Successfull in the delivery of vocational training either in school or at their fully functional workshop and class room facility in Norwich. CTS offer a curriculum that is flexible and a cost effective solution to external training. Courses include all those accepted onthe 96 list plus
additional courses to suit the need of industry upon leaving school, these include BTECs, City & Guilds and Diplomas.
CTS already has established links with several schools in the region, they include Bungay High School and Sprowston High School to name but a few, the sucess rate has been extremely high with over 90% of the class achieving their individual learning aim and going on to full apprenticeships in construction or further training.
CTS also offers a free careers taster session for schools wishing to find out more about the construction industry or wanting to sample the types of courses on offer for years 10 and 11.
Developing and embedding access to extended services is a long term agenda, this is about putting in place services that will last and provide continual benefits to young adults and children, services should become sustainable long into the future.
